Dental Bridges
This option fills the space created by a missing tooth. A bridge looks like a tooth with two surrounding teeth for support. We use gold alloy, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or ceramic material. The choice of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.
Dental Bridge Options
A bridge a device used to replace missing teeth attaches artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth, called abutment teeth. Bridges are either permanently attached (fixed bridges), or they can be removable.
Fixed bridges are applied by either placing crowns on the abutment teeth or by bonding the artificial teeth directly to the abutment teeth. Removable bridges are attached to the teeth with metal clasps or by precision attachments.
Crowns
Crowns are full-coverage restorations that we use to cover a tooth that is likely to break or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. A crown is commonly placed after a root canal or when a large filling wears out. Crowns ride over the weakened tooth, providing strength and protecting the tooth against breakage.
